Welcome...
Historic Berylwood was the home of Thomas R. Bard, an important pioneer and colonist of California.  A dynamic businessman and politician, he was instrumental in bringing American customs and business methods to that part of Spanish California now know as Ventura County.  Later in his life he gained statewide and national recognition as a United States Senator (California, 1900-1905).
